What is the Generator Programme?
The Generator programme is a new project that aims to offer support and professional development to a selected group of young creatives between the ages of 18 and 25. OTW will select a group of 6 young people to form a creative team and then, through the offer of studio space, production budget and professional mentoring, support them in the production of a new piece of theatre.
Who is it for?
This opportunity is open to anyone between the ages of 18 and 25 who can clearly demonstrate a desire to be involved in a creative theatre making process.
No previous experience is required, just a commitment to the project timescales and a general interest in theatre and performance.
We welcome interest from creatives who are underrepresented in the arts.
What are the timescales?
The project will run from January to April culminating in a production period from:-
Saturday 1st to Sunday 16th April
Regular sessions will take place on:-
Monday evenings at OTW between 6 and 9pm
What is the application process?
The application process is simple. Fill out the form below and click submit.
Before filling out the form, take some time to think about what skills and attributes you can bring to the process and what you would like to get out of it.
A panel of industry professionals will independently read all submissions and then come together to select the creative team.
CLOSING DATE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS FRIDAY 27th JANUARY 2023!
Applicants will be notified by 3rd Feb to let you know whether or not you have been successful.
What will it cost?
This project is fully funded by OTW so there is no cost to the participants.
* Please note that although OTW will provide a solid base of support and development, the vast majority of the work will be led, managed and undertaken by the group themselves.
