Enter our contest and get your play read by professional actors!
The Heartwood Initiative is running a play-writing competition for 11-16 year olds! Plays should be between 5 and 10 minutes long and based on the theme ‘world crisis’. The winners will have their plays performed by professional actors in an online rehearsed reading.
The deadline is the 1st of July. You can use the OTW File Uploader here to upload your play, your name and your contact email address. Don’t worry if you’re not an OTW member – you can leave the “OTW Group Name” box blank.

The Heartwood Initiative is made up of students from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama hosting online writing workshops for students aged 11-16, responding to climate change and the COVID lockdown.
