A short ‘Introduction to Technical Theatre’ course for young people aged 13 – 19
Are you interested in developing new skills in stage management, lighting, sound and visual technologies?
Do you want to work alongside a live production and make it come to life? If so, our introduction to technical theatre could be just the thing for you.
The course, led by Oldham Theatre Workshop and in partnership with Oldham Coliseum Theatre is designed to offer young people (aged 13 – 19 yrs) their first opportunity to learn about some of the technical aspects of the theatre making process. Leading industry professionals will join the process to deliver specific modules on Lighting, Sound and Stage Management. On completion, participants will gain a number of course specific AQA qualifications and a portfolio of work produced. We will also be working closely with partners in further and higher education to ensure a clear pathway for those wishing to continue learning in this field.

Cost?
This course is fully funded and therefore FREE to all participants. Support will also be given to cover any expenses incurred and to ensure all financial barriers to participation are removed.
