Youth On Stage

The Youth on Stage project was funded by Erasmus + and brought together international experts to explore the challenges disadvantaged young people face when trying to enter the labour market.

The partners on the project included:-

The training and coaching consultancy Wszechnica  from Poland

The youth organisation Droni from Georgia

Kaleb a grassroots community organisation in Slovakia and ourselves
Oldham Theatre Workshop

All the partners have experience of working with young people creatively and use this approach to empower and support young people’s development.

The aim was to create a forum style piece of theatre which could be used as a tool to help young people and those who work with them ‘step in to the shoes’ of a teenager struggling to overcome barriers to employment.

After research phases in each country and a shared devising process the partners each created their own forum theatre inspired piece and accompanying interactive workshop. These were then performed to groups of young people and youth workers/employment professionals inspiring conversations and strategies to help them in their individual journeys.

Please feel free to download the script and workshop for use in your own setting.
